Three people travelling in a car on the M4 have found themselves in trouble with the law.
Wiltshire Police received a call from another member of the public that a car on the M4 was full of people suspected to have been smoking cannabis.
Officers from the force's Roads Policing Unit responded and discovered that the tip-off was absolutely right as not only was the driver in possession of drugs, but the two passengers were as well.
The driver was arrested for possession and drug driving, and the two passengers were dealt with via an 'out of court disposal' leaving them with a police record and their drugs seized.
The incident was posted on the Wiltshire Specialist Ops Twitter/X page along with a photograph of all of the items seized from the car's inhabitants, which included cannabis, a package, and pills.
A spokesperson for the Roads Policing Unit said: "Out as usual, dealing with fatal five.
"Big thanks to the driver who reported a car on the M4 with all smoking the pine.
One was arrested for drug driving and possession of various ‘items’. Two others had simple possession.
"Everyone left with something!"
