A Neighbourhood Policing Team has found a small knife while out searching through bushes and vegetation in Swindon.
On Friday, August 30, officers from the South Central Neighbourhood Policing Team were conducting checks in outdoor public spaces.
During the checks, PCSO MARSH and PCSO JOHN located a small knife, which had been removed and destroyed.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: "If you are ever concerned about an area or you see somebody acting suspicious, please call 101 to inform us or use the Online crime reporting service.
"Always call 999 in an emergency."
Knives can be surrendered at Gablecross Police Station and in knife amnesty bins at Broadgreen Community Centre, Pinetrees Community Centre in Pinehurst, Walcot Dome and Liden Library.
Most recently, the family of murdered Swindon teenager Owen Dunn installed a knife amnesty bin to the rear of John Moulton Hall Community Centre in Penhill.
Wiltshire Police is also taking part in a surrender and compensation scheme for those who hand in zombie-style knives and machetes until September 23, ahead of new government legislation which will make it illegal to own these types of weapons from September 24
Eligible weapons can be handed in at Gablecross, Trowbridge, Chippenham or Salisbury police stations.
