A pre-school has been rated 'good' following an inspection from Ofsted earlier this summer.
Inquisitive Minds Pre-school, based in Central Community Centre, Emlyn Square, Swindon, was inspected on July 12 and each aspect of its service was rated 'good'.
The report highlighted the work of staff to make a "positive difference in children's lives".
"All children make good progress, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities and those in receipt of additional funding," it found.
The report praised the one-to-one support offered to children, allowing them to learn at a suitable pace, as well as the use of funds to broaden children's experiences with weekly clubs, including woodwork and sports.
It said: "Children are content and happy at this welcoming setting. They feel safe and develop a strong sense of belonging as staff get to know children and their families well."
The manager's leadership and commitment to promoting staff well-being was also noted.
The inspector said: "The manager has a clear and strong vision for children's early education.
"She collaborates with her staff team to ensure that the curriculum aligns with the needs and interests of the children."
They also said the manager meets with staff "regularly", both one on one and as a group to discuss their professional development, and carries out her own independent research to inform practice.
The pre-school was also commended for its teaching approach, encouraging "valuable independence" skills from a young age, and enhancing children's communication skills.
Children are thought about the "diverse world around them and value children's different backgrounds".
One example given was that children explore foods from their culture, and the cook freshly prepares these meals on site for all children to try.
It added: "Staff implement a curriculum that considers the needs and diverse backgrounds of all children.
"Staff use words from children's home language. For example, they greet them in Hindi."
Healthy lifestyles are actively promoted by the setting, offering nutritious meals and teaching children about where food comes from and oral hygiene.
Staff were found to communicate "well" with parents, while they also "use methods to overcome any language barriers", and regularly invite parents in for stay-and-play sessions with their children.
Parents were found to value these and said they learn from staff about early education, describing them as "incredible people".
The arrangements for safeguarding are "effective", the report found, and there is "an open and positive culture around safeguarding that puts the children's interests first".
