Work is being carried out to repair part of Swindon's town centre.
Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks has received permission from Swindon Borough Council to arrange utility repair and maintenance works on sections of Regent Street until midnight on the evening of September 6.
The work began at 4.30am on August 27 and currently blocks areas of the pedestrianised street near New Look, Specsavers, Sports Direct, Julia's House, USc, and the Polish Supermarket.
Elsewhere in the town centre, part of Bridge Street has been fenced off to accommodate a skip while the Shipleys adult gaming arcade is being expanded into an empty unit next door that once housed Cafe Nero.
The gambling company had been given the go-ahead by Swindon Borough Council to expand its suite by taking over the vacant space and create what it calls a Bingo lounge.
When finished, most of the front of both units will be joined to create a space for the playing of online bingo consisting of screens, a large open area with seating and tables to recreate the experience of playing in a bingo hall.
There will still be gaming machines, but they will be restricted to a much smaller area to the rear of the new unit on the corner.
