Police are continuing to investigate and are appealing for witnesses after an alleged sexual assault in Swindon town centre.
A 19-year-old man from Royal Wootton Bassett was arrested on suspicion of rape following an incident believed to have taken place during the early hours of Saturday, September 7.
A cordon remained in place at Queen Street, between Fleet Street and Carr Street, for several hours while officers carried out an investigation.

Police confirmed that, at the time of writing, nobody had been charged in connection with the alleged offence and enquiries remained ongoing with the suspect still in custody.
An appeal has been launched urging witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Officers investigating an alleged sexual assault have arrested a 19-year-old man from Royal Wootton Bassett on suspicion of rape.
“He is currently in police custody.
“We would like to hear from anyone who was in Swindon town centre in the early hours of Saturday who may have seen anything suspicious.
