The following cases were heard at Swindon Magistrates Court earlier this month.
PINEHURST: Stuart Preedy, of Cunningham Road, has been sentenced for several driving offences.
The 37-year-old pleaded guilty to driving a BMW M3 along Whitworth Road while disqualified, without having insurance, and after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in his breath - namely 91 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath - exceeded the prescribed limit.
He also admitted to failing to stop after an accident on Beech Avenue where damaged was caused to a BMW M340i and then failing to report that accident to police.
All of these offences occurred on September 6, 2024. He received a 48-month driving ban, and a 16-week prison sentence which has been suspended for 24 months.
Court documents indicate that the defendant has a flagrant disregard for court orders, for people and their property, and that this is his third drink-driving offence in 18 months but he is engaging well with probation and trying to address his alcohol issue.
