A would-be shoplifter reportedly assaulted a supermarket staff member.
Police say that a man entered the Co-op's Taw Hill branch at around 7pm on Sunday, August 18, and tried to leave without making any attempt to pay for three bottles of alcohol.
When an employee challenged the customer, he is said to have assaulted them and shouted aggressively before exiting the store.
