The driver of a lorry has been reported for travelling with a huge dent in their windscreen.
The HGV, which had very bad damage on a large section of the right-hand side of the windscreen, was reported to officers by multiple members of the public.
The driver was going along the busy A303 while only being able to see out of one side of the windscreen and risking it shattering completely.
This led to the vehicle being stopped by Wiltshire Police's Roads Policing Unit (RPU).
The driver was reported and a prohibition was issued.
Wiltshire Spec Ops posted the offence on social media, which covers the county's roads policing unit and armed response groups.
The post read: “Roads Policing Unit stopped this HGV on the A303 near Amesbury after multiple calls from members of the public. Prohibition was issued and driver reported for vehicle in dangerous condition.
Many people commented on the post to express their disbelief that anyone would attempt to drive the vehicle in such a dangerous condition.
One person wrote: "He was driving it in that condition? The mind boggles."
Another joked: "Hello is that Autoglass? I need a chip on my screen touched in. Shouldn’t take long."
