A mum from Swindon had her day made when she found a bouquet left by two local businesses in an act of kindness.
When Ali Kidd, 33, took her two-year-old daughter Lamayah to the park, she was delighted to discover a bunch of ‘feel good flowers’ from businesses A E Smith & Son and G L Evans Funeral Directors.
The note attached to the bouquet read: "We hope these flowers brighten up your day.
"Please share your findings to our Facebook page and spread the positivity."
Both businesses have been working together to carry out the generous act for over a month, leaving flowers around Swindon and Highworth.
Sharing her find on the Swidon Community Notice Board, Ali said: “Safe to say this put me in such a good mood.
“I've been struggling again the past few days since losing my nan in July, so I think she guided me here today thank you so much such a kind thing to do! I needed that lift me up today.
“We always got my nan flowers, the day before my little girl picked some and said for grandma and I said yes we can fly them up to the sky and the next day we found those, so really touched my heart.”
The A E Smith and Son Facebook page replied: "Hi Ali, we are so happy the flowers made a difference to your day."
A spokesperson for the two firms told the Advertiser: “Every week A E Smith & Son and G L Evans Funeral Directors are placing a bouquet of 'Feel Good Flowers' in either Swindon or Highworth for someone to find and enjoy.

“We post a clue on Facebook as to where the flowers are to be placed at the start of the week and then post again on the day they are out to be found, we have been doing this for the last month and a bit and hopefully have given a little bit of happiness to somebody within the local communities we serve.”
To avoid confusion with any other flowers that may have been left, A E Smith and Son has clarified that the flowers that are part of this initiative will always have a special card attached they will always post on Facebook the location they have been left.
The move has been praised on social media with many commenting on it being a 'beautiful' act of kindness.
