The Swindon Independent Film Festival is set to return for 2024 next week.

The festival, which showcases a selection of short films from filmmakers across the globe, will be held at Create Studios from Tuesday, October 8, to Saturday, October 12.

Thirty-two films will be shown over the five days, with awards being handed out in 19 categories on the final evening.

"This year’s festival is about celebrating creativity, and we have an incredible programme of films to showcase."

One of the highlights will be a special screening of Tim Burton's cult classic, 'Ed Wood,' on Thursday, October 10.

Doors will open at 6.30pm for the screening of the film known for its quirky and heartfelt portrayal of an unsuccessful yet passionate filmmaker.

The festival will culminate on Saturday, October 12, with an awards ceremony and networking event.

The evening will celebrate the best films shown at the festival and provide an opportunity for filmmakers, producers, and members of the film community to connect and exchange ideas.

The awards will recognise achievements in various categories, including Best Film, Best Director, and Festival Favourite.
