A former Apprentice finalist from Swindon has reflected on her time on the hit BBC show as a new series begins.
Kathryn Louise Burn finished as a runner-up on The Apprentice in 2022, with Lord Alan Sugar picking Harpreet Kaur ahead of her.
Three years on, the former Dorcan Technology College (now Dorcan Academy) student, who grew up in Liden, passed on her advice to the current crop of contestants as series 19 begins.
Speaking on Instagram, she said: “It’s funny watching myself back now, as I’ve grown a lot over the past three years - but I have the show to thank for that, for pushing me way outside of my comfort zone.

“It certainly made me realise that it’s only just yourself, your own mind, and the fear of looking stupid that usually holds you back. But once you overcome that (and as you can imagine, The Apprentice is the PERFECT show to help you), you’ll be well on your way.
“Mindset counts for a lot.”
Kathryn also urged the contestants to make the most of the opportunity.
She added: “And yes, you are given an incredible platform, but what you do with it is up to you - it won’t just land on your doorstep.”
