A man who has been accused of causing death by dangerous driving narrowly avoided being accosted by another man leaving court.
Darren Roberts, of Barnfield Close in Rodbourne, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and possession with intent to supply cocaine and pleaded not guilty to both offences.
It is alleged that Roberts was riding a motorbike around the Drakes Way area on the evening of January 31, 2022, when he collided with a man in his 30s, Neil Sharp, at around 8:35pm.

Roberts, who was said to have cocaine in his possession on that day, was taken to hospital with a suspected broken arm.
He appeared at Swindon Crown Court on Wednesday, February 19 for a mention hearing, before his trial is set to commence on Monday, March 17.
On Wednesday morning there was a significant queue to get into the Crown Court at around 10am and Roberts was waiting with his mum to get searched by security.

A man coming out of court with his family spotted Roberts and began shouting and swearing at him, referring to the offences against Roberts and the alleged victim.
His family held him back and tried to push him outside while those waiting behind Roberts in the queue watched on and security intervened.
The man continued shouting at Roberts before walking away from the court premises, and Roberts' mum phoned 999.
Two police officers arrived a short time later, around 10:20am, but by that point, both parties had moved on.

At the time, a spokesperson said: "The closure of Drakes Way in Swindon last night was carried out in conjunction with Swindon Borough Council to enable our Forensic Collision Investigators to carry out some testing activities to assist with the investigation into the tragic road traffic collision on January 31 in which a man in his 30s lost his life after being struck by a motorcycle."
A motorcyclist is understood to have travelled from the McDonald's at Greenbridge at 8.35pm on January 1 before hitting a pedestrian.
Paramedics took the man, later identified as Neil Sharp, to hospital but he later died.
