A crime investigator claims that the woman guilty of stabbing a teenage boy at a house party took 'no accountability'.
Drew Stanton-Foreman, of Redhouse Way in Swindon, was sentenced at Swindon Crown Court on Monday, March 17, for stabbing a 17-year-old with a broken champagne glass at a house party.
The 20-year-old woman, who was 19 at the time of the incident, pleaded guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm, but claimed she had no memory of the incident after drinking half a bottle of vodka and several shots.
The 17-year-old victim received a stab wound close to the jugular vein on his neck which prosecutor Ms Miller claimed "could have nearly been fatal".
The court heard when restrained by other party-goers, Stanton-Foreman threatened to stab two others.
She has now been jailed for two years and eight months.
In a statement, Complex Crime Investigator Catherine Baird said Stanton-Foreman took "no accountability for her actions".
"She claimed she must have been spiked. However, toxicology reports did not support this; she was just very drunk," said the investigator.
"Psychiatric reports were conducted and there was no evidence to suggest that any mental disorder was linked to the commission of the offence. Due to this, Stanton-Foreman finally changed her plea to guilty.
"The victim must now live with a visible scar and lasting nerve damage as a constant reminder of Stanton-Foreman's horrific actions."
