A 15-year-old boy from Swindon has been sentenced after pleading guilty to rape and possession of a knife.
The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was sentenced at Swindon Crown Court on Tuesday, March 18.
He had previously denied two counts of raping a girl of the same age but changed his plea to guilty on January 30.
The youth pleaded guilty to possession of a knife in a public place at an earlier hearing on October 17, 2024.
All of the offences were said to have taken place on the same day - Saturday, August 10, 2024 in Swindon.

The 15-year-old had also been charged with a third count of rape, which he was not sentenced for, but it will remain on his record.
He was remanded in a youth detention centre pending his sentencing, where the teenager received a total of three years and nine months in a young offender institution.
A sexual harm prevention order was imposed on the teenager, he will be on the sex offender's register and a restraining order prevents him from having direct or indirect contact with the victim.
The knife was seized by police and he was sentenced to one month in custody for possession of the weapon, which will run concurrently.
