Wiltshire Police have released March statistics, showing that 1,324 vehicles were caught speeding in the county.
The stats also show that 1,161 drivers were offered Speed Awareness courses,139 drivers received fines and penalty points and 24 drivers are due to appear in court.
Wiltshire Police have said: "As the weather improves and the Easter holidays have begun, we'll be seeing more vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians out and about – especially in rural and tourist areas."
In February, 1,769 vehicles were caught speeding, meaning the number of criminal acts decreased last month.
There was a huge increase from January to February, with just the 707 motorists caught speeding in the first month of the year.
The Wiltshire Police website specifies that "Speed limits are set for a reason and exceeding them is illegal. The minimum penalty for speeding is £100 fine and three points added to your licence.
"If you’re a newly qualified driver and receive six points during the first two years after passing your test, your licence will automatically be cancelled (revoked). To get it back you’ll need to apply and pay for a new provisional licence and pass both theory and practical tests again."
