These are some of the latest cases to be heard at Swindon Crown Court in the past week.
Swindon: 43-year-old Christopher McNeil of Edencroft, Highworth, has been jailed for stalking involving fear of violence and intentional strangulation.
The court heard that between April 1 and April 21, McNeil stalked a woman on at least two occasions leaving her in fear that violence would be used against her, attending her place of work, her home address and repeatedly calling her.
He intentionally strangled her on April 20.
McNeil was jailed for two years and eight months and a restraining order was made banning him from having contact with the victim.
Swindon: Simphiwe Tibe, of Hebden Close, has been sentenced this week for possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin.
On May 22, Tibe was caught with 35 wraps of crack cocaine in his possession and 14 deals of diamorphine, along with £633.92 in cash.
He pleaded guilty on July 11 and was jailed for 54 months. The drugs will be destroyed.
Swindon: Timothy Trille, of Grove Hill, Highworth, was convicted of attempting to engage in sexual communication with a child after pleading guilty to the charge at Swindon Magistrates' Court on April 30.
He appeared for sentencing on July 17.
The court heard that Trille had messaged a decoy account posing as a 13-year-old girl called ‘Olivia’, set up by a paedophile hunters’ group, between April 24 and April 29.
Using the name 'bad dad', he sent her lewd messages asking about her sexual experiences and trying to convince her to send nude photos of herself after sending her an explicit image of himself.
Trille was handed a 24-month community order with 100 hours of unpaid work and up to 40 rehabilitation activity days with the probation service.
He will be on the sex offender register for five years, and a sexual harm prevention order was imposed for five years.
Chippenham: Mother and son drug dealing duo Louise Mclean, 48, and 21-year-old son Nico, both of Redland, Chippenham, appeared in the dock together on July 15.
They were both charged with dealing a quantity of cocaine and cannabis on June 29, 2023, in Chippenham, with Nico pleading guilty on May 21 of this year and his mum entering guilty pleas on June 20.
Police officers also seized £2,810 from Nico.
Judge Townsend sentenced Nico to 24 months imprisonment, suspended for 24 months, as the offences are so serious that only a custodial term can be justified.
The 21-year-old must complete up to 15 rehabilitation activity days with the probation service and 200 hours of unpaid work within 12 months.
Meanwhile, Louise was handed a custodial sentence of 22 months suspended for 24 months.
Both mum and son were ordered to pay a surcharge of £187.
She must complete a drug rehabilitation treatment programme and complete up to 15 rehabilitation activity days.
Swindon: Ryan Hammond of Penhill Drive, entered a guilty plea to being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin at a previous hearing at Swindon Magistrates’ Court, appearing for sentencing at Swindon Crown Court on Friday, July 18.

The 27-year-old used multiple phone numbers to advertise the Class A drugs to known users across town, sending bulk messages out to them, and police identified him after he made a 999 call on one of the numbers.
This was not his first conviction for drug dealing and the offences were committed while he was on licence after being released early from prison.
Hammond was sentenced to three years and four months in prison.
