A crematorium will explain how "many stringent checks" there are in place when saying goodbye to your loved ones.
North Wiltshire Crematorium, based between Royal Wootton Bassett and Swindon, is giving people a chance to look around its gardens, learn about the options available for funerals, and be guided through what happens when someone goes on their final journey.
Jon Watton, who manages the site, said: “The main aim is to alleviate the myths people have about crematoriums – that multiple people are cremated at the same time, that coffins are reused, that the ashes you’re given aren’t all of that person.
“This could not be further from the truth, there are so many stringent checks in place, and we will explain the whole process so that people are aware of exactly what happens.”

The mayor of Swindon, Cllr Fay Howard, will open the event on Swindon Road near Royal Wootton Bassett at 10am on Saturday, August 16, and it will last until 2pm.
Guests can have a tour of the chapel and memorial gardens, meet the team of support staff, celebrants, vicars, and florists, look inside a limousine, hearse, and private ambulance.
They can also browse a range of coffins such as cardboard, wood, willow, and laser-printed with custom engravings.
Visitors can find out about the range of personalised farewell services available and the support for the bereaved.
