Essential road resurfacing work is set to begin next week in Swindon.
Swindon Borough Council has confirmed that from Monday, October 20, repairs will be carried out on 19 roads as part of the annual minor resurfacing programme.
The programme is scheduled to run until early December.
Roads to be resurfaced include Kingswood Avenue, Hay Lane, Wilcot Avenue, and the entrance road to the Orbital Shopping Centre.
Other roads on the list include Beech Avenue, Verwood Close, Birdport Road, Casson Road, Pewsham Road, Shrivenham Road and Summer Street.
To ensure the work is completed safely and efficiently, these roads will be closed between 8am and 6pm during their designated repair periods.
The Orbital Shopping Centre entrance road will be an exception, with work being carried out overnight between 8pm and 6am.
Access for residents will be maintained, and diversions will be signed for other road users.
The council plans to spend over £5 million on road maintenance in the 2025/26 financial year.
This will include £170,000 on reactive pothole repairs, as well as patching repairs, road marking refreshes, and traffic light maintenance.
