A free event offering cyclists the chance to help keep their bicycles safe will soon be held.
The event aims to protect bicycles from theft, offering free security marking and registration on the national cycle database.
Marking a bike reportedly makes it 83 per cent less likely to be stolen in the first place.
The event is being organised by Royal Wootton Bassett and Cricklade Police and is possible due to donations of bike marking kits from the Barchester White Lodge care home and Cricklade Town Council.
It will be held at the care home on the B4696 on February 22 from 2pm to 5pm.
People are invited to simply turn up with their bike to have it marked and registered at no cost.
People in Cricklade will have to wait for the event details to be confirmed.
