Travellers have been seen "using a pavement" to access an unopened multi-million pound road under the M4 in Swindon.
The Southern Connector Road links Wichelstowe to the south of the motorway and construction was completed in January 2023, but it has remained closed since.
On Friday morning, February 13, at least six caravans were spotted parked up on the road, along with other vehicles.
This is not the first time travellers have set up camp in the area, as they were also seen taking over the unused road in June 2024 and April 2025.

Back in 2024, one resident, Stuart Slee, raised concerns about travellers leaving piles of rubbish and scorch marks on the road surface after they moved on.
He told the Adver that the spot had been "earmarked as a new dumping ground which is hidden in plain sight."
In recent months, travellers have also been seen setting up camp near the Homebase depot in Swindon and Lydiard Fields.
On Sunday, October 12, 2025, officers were called to Lydiard Fields after concerns about caravans parked up in the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel car park and anti-social behaviour.
The caravans left the site shortly later.
