A major rush-hour crash on the A419 into Swindon saw three vehicles collide on the 70mph road, police have confirmed.
The crash, which took place just before 8.20am, causing chaos during rush-hour on Monday morning, February 16, as the A419 southbound between Blunsdon St Andrew and Stratton was closed.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and drivers were left at standstill, with several motorists seen trying to divert away from the road.
One eyewitness told the Swindon Advertiser they saw "black car left sideways" in the left-hand lane heading southbound, as police swarmed the area.
However, the police force has now confirmed that no one was seriously injured in the crash, which involved three vehicles and caused over two hours of traffic delays.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: "We were called to a three-vehicle collision on the A419 southbound near to Dobbies shortly before 8.20am.
"No injuries reported. The scene was cleared by approximately 10.30am."
As of midday on Monday, February 16, the A419 southbound is now flowing again as usual.
Describing the previous "traffic chaos", one motorist who was caught in the queues heading from Cheltenham towards Dorcan in Swindon said: "The main road now looks static.
"Lots of traffic is getting off onto the bridge. The whole bridge is at a standstill on both sides. It's just complete chaos on the roads."
