A holiday cottage in the ‘Venice of the Cotswolds’ publicised by Kourtney Kardashian has been upgraded as part of a £100k investment.
Cotswold Cottages, which offers holiday accommodation in Bourton-on-the-Water, has unveiled a £50,000 refurbishment of its largest property, Stepping Stones.
The three-bedroom cottage has appeared on the likes of Ms Kardashian’s Instagram story.
The media personality is known for appearing on the reality TV series Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
Renovations include a brand-new kitchen as well as new soft furnishings, furniture and decorative accessories.
The refresh is the second stage of a wider £100,000 investment across the site which began last year.
Initial works saw the four neighbouring one-bedroom cottages fully renovated with new kitchens and bathrooms, alongside upgraded beds, sofas and furnishings.
Offering a space designed for families and small groups, Stepping Stones retains original features like exposed Cotswold stone and beams.
The cottage sleeps up to seven guests and has a double bedroom, twin room and single room, plus a sofa bed in the living room.
Cotswold Cottages is owned by Boundless, a membership club for current and retired public sector and civil service workers.
Mandy Watkins, regional general manager for Boundless, said: “Stepping Stones is a standout property for us, offering the space and flexibility larger families and groups are looking for.
“These updates ensure it matches the quality and feel of the wider site while still celebrating the charm and heritage that make it so special.
“It’s a fantastic base for enjoying everything Bourton-on-the-Water has to offer.”
Guests staying at Cotswold Cottages receive free entry to the nearby Cotswold Motoring Museum.
Alongside the accommodation upgrades, £200,000 has been invested in the museum to transform the onsite gift shop, which is now redesigned with a car and garage theme which reflects its heritage.
