Multiple road closures are set to take place across Wiltshire.
Wiltshire Council has announced a series of temporary road closures across the county, affecting various towns and villages.

The closures, all under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, are primarily to allow utility companies to carry out maintenance and installation works.
Winterbourne Monkton will see part of the UC 10720I road closed from the property known as School House for roughly 100 metres in a north-westerly direction.
This closure will be in effect from August 3, 2026, for three days between 8am and 6pm.
The closure is to enable Openreach to carry out installation works.
An alternative route will be signposted.
Ogbourne St Andrew will also be affected, with Hockley Road closed from the property known as Tufts for approximately 30 metres southwards.
This closure, also for Openreach works, will start on August 5, 2026, and last for three days.
Great Bedwyn will experience a closure on part of The Knapp, from its junction with Brook Street for about 50 metres northwards.
This is to allow Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to attend to trees in their compound at Bedwyn Station, which are causing safety concerns.
This closure will be effective from August 3, 2026, for three days between 9am and 4pm.
Froxfield will have a section of the UC 276901 road closed for 640 metres northwards from the property known as N.01 Searchlight Cottages.
Openreach will be carrying out works here, with the closure in effect from August 4, 2026, for four days.
In Baydon, part of Finches Lane will be closed from outside Harlequin Software Ltd for 356 metres eastwards.
This closure, for more Openreach works, will start on August 5, 2026, and last until August 25, 2026.
St Paul Malmesbury Without will see Mill Lane closed for its entire length from its junction with the A429.
This closure is for Scottish and Southern Power Distribution to carry out overhead line works and will be in place for one day on August 5, 2026, from 8.30am to 6pm.
Nettleton will have two closures: Down Road for 78 metres south-west from a point 60 metres south-west of its junction with Drifton Hill, and part of the C161 from its junction with Toll Down Way to its junction with Edgecorner Lane.
These closures are for Scottish and Southern Power Distribution and Openreach works, respectively, and will both be in effect for one day on August 7, 2026.
In Kington St Michael and Yatton Keynell, part of the C172 will be closed from the property known as Cromhall Farm for 357 metres south-westwards.
This closure, for Gigaclear works, will be in place for one day on August 3, 2026.
Brinkworth will see part of York Lane closed from its junction with Fritterswell for 50 metres north-westwards.
This closure, for Openreach works, will be in place for one day on August 7, 2026, from 9.30am to 3pm.
Devizes will see part of Quakers Road closed from its junction with London Road for 261 metres westwards.
This closure is to allow Wiltshire Council to implement a temporary clockwise gyratory system for Caltec works and will be in place from August 3, 2026, until August 28, 2026.
Various other closures will be taking place across Wiltshire, including in Chippenham, Seend, Aldbourne, Clyffe Pypard, and Castle Combe.
Each closure will be clearly indicated by traffic signs, and alternative routes will be signposted where available.
The council has stated that access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, but delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
Separately, the High Street in Chippenham will be temporarily closed to vehicular traffic on July 15, 2026, between 7.30pm and 9.30pm for the "Longest Day 10K" event.
Finally, a new 40mph speed limit is set to be introduced on the A420 and C71 in North Wraxall, replacing the existing 50mph limit.
The public is invited to comment on this proposal until August 3, 2026.
