A company director from Swindon is set to stand trial after being charged with raping a woman.

Daniel Frame, of Tulip Tree Close in Pinehurst, appeared at Swindon Crown Court earlier this year on Friday, May 30.

The court heard how the 34-year-old, who is the company director of Auto Asylum Windscreens, allegedly had sex with a woman without her consent or believing her to be consenting, on March 16, 2024.

Frame pleaded not guilty to this charge.

The rape offence is understood to have taken place in Swindon, but little other information has been given at this stage.

The victim will not be named due to automatic anonymity given to her by the justice system.

As previously reported, the woman was over the age of 16 at the time of the offence, however the initial hearing at Swindon Magistrates Court on April 30, 2025, was heard before the youth panel.

A trial date had initially been set for May 18 of this year, but a new date has been set for Monday, April 12, 2027 at Swindon Crown Court.

In the meantime, he has been remanded on bail.
