There has been little rain in Swindon and Wiltshire recently but the latest Met Office forecast suggests showers are most likely to arrive on Sunday.
There has been a prolonged spell of dry, warm weather in Swindon and across Wiltshire, with sunshine and high temperatures dominating recent weeks.
This has prompted safety warnings from Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service about the increased risk of grass and woodland fires.
Firefighters have urged residents to take extra care by properly extinguishing barbecues and cigarettes, avoiding disposable barbecues on dry grass, and not starting any controlled burns during the current conditions
This has left many people wondering when rain might finally arrive.
Swindon
The weather in Swindon for the next week is, according to the Met Office, set to be a mixture of sun and clouds.
The highest temperature is expected to be on Wednesday, with a high of 31 degrees Celsius at around 4pm.
On Monday (July 27), Wednesday (July 29) and Thursday (July 30), the chance of rain is below five per cent.
On Tuesday (July 28), meanwhile, the chance of rain rises to 10 per cent at 6am, 7am, 8am, 9am and 5pm.
Likewise on Friday (July 31), there is a 10 per cent chance of rain for the majority of the day.
On Saturday (August 1), the chance of rain is 10 per cent at 12am and 10pm, and this rises to 30 per cent at 1pm and 4pm on Sunday (August 2).
Overall, Sunday looks to be the most likely day to expect rain in Swindon.

Chippenham
Rain is slightly more likely in Chippenham than it is in Swindon.
The Met Office predicts only two days this week in which the chance of rain remains below five per cent – Monday (July 27) and Wednesday (July 29).
On Tuesday (July 28), the chance of rain remains at 10 per cent from 6am through to 9am, and through until 10am on Thursday (July 30).
Friday (July 31) is expected to see a 10 per cent chance of rain for most of the day.
Saturday (August 1) is only expected to see 10 per cent chance of rain at about 10pm.
Like in Swindon, Sunday (August 2) is set to be the day with the most chance of rain, reaching a 30 per cent chance at 1pm and 4pm.

Trowbridge
The chance of rain in Trowbridge is below five per cent on Monday (July 27) and Wednesday (July 29).
On Tuesday (July 28), there is a 10 per cent chance at 6am, 7am, 8am, 3pm and 4pm.
Thursday (July 30), will see 10 per cent for the majority of the day except for 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, and into the evening, when it will drop to below five per cent.
Friday will also see an overall 10 per cent chance of rain, and Sunday, once again, has the most chance, rising to 30 per cent at 1pm and 4pm.
The chance on Saturday is lower, remaining below five per cent for most of the day.
