Swindon and Wiltshire businesses and events have announced changes and cancellations due to the hot weather.
Amid the heat sweeping across Wiltshire this week, several announcements have been made.
Rays Home Made Ice Cream on Devizes Road in Swindon announced an early closure today.
In a statement on Facebook this afternoon, the business said: "Important update.
"Due to the extreme heat, Ray's Ice Cream will be closing early today/now.
"We're really sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.
"We'll be back tomorrow at 12pm, ready to serve your favourite treats!
"Thank you for your continued support!"
Meanwhile, South Swindon Parish Council posted this afternoon: "Rounders at Buckhurst tonight cancelled due to severe warning from the Met Office across Swindon and Wiltshire."
Yesterday (August 12), The Rowdey Cow in Devizes announced changes to its opening times today (August 13), on account of the heat.
In a statement, they said: "Advanced warning/it is likely we will be closing early tomorrow afternoon (Thursday 13th) as we are melting today and looks like it's going to be hotter again tomorrow.
"We will close the kitchen at 2pm and the cafe at 3pm.
"The mini fair will have their bouncy castles running for 10am-1pm only.
"We will review this accordingly - thank you for your understanding."
