A man has appeared in court charged with 16 shoplifting offences at Co-Op stores in Malmesbury.

Nathan Harland, 21, appeared at Swindon Magistrates Court yesterday (August 27).

In a statement, Wiltshire Police said: "A man has appeared in court charged with 16 shoplifting offences.

"Nathan Harland, 21, of no fixed address, Malmesbury, appeared at Swindon Magistrates Court yesterday (27/8) charged with 16 counts of shoplifting at Co-Op stores in Malmesbury.

"He has been remanded on conditional bail until his next appearance in court on October 5.

"One of his conditions is not to enter any Co-Op store in Malmesbury."
