A group of 25 runners will take on the Swindon Half Marathon this weekend.
Representing the Swindon Town FC Community Foundation, the team is raising funds for the foundation’s disability programmes.
The group includes staff, volunteers, parents, and participants from the Football Fans in Training programme, as well as supporters from the wider community.
Together, they have already raised more than £7,000 toward their £10,000 fundraising target.
A spokesperson for the Swindon Town FC Community Foundation said: "Everyone at Swindon Town FC Community Foundation is hugely grateful to the 25 runners for taking on the challenge and supporting this important work."
Funds raised will help support disability programmes delivered at Foundation Park, which offer sporting opportunities to individuals with Down syndrome, physical and learning disabilities, and other additional needs.
The spokesperson said: "These programmes provide much more than opportunities to be active.
"They help participants develop friendships, build confidence, and reduce social isolation, all within the purpose-built Nigel Eady Multi-Sports Dome at Foundation Park."
The team has spent five months training in preparation for the race and continues to raise funds.
Ridgeway Hospital, part of Circle Health Group, has sponsored the team and provided event resources.
The foundation is encouraging the public to support the runners and mascot Rockin Robin, who will also be taking part in the 13.1-mile challenge.

Every contribution will go towards creating more opportunities for people with disabilities to enjoy sport, build connections, and feel included in their community.
