Hundreds of Lego fans and builders once again descended on the STEAM GWR Museum in Swindon for the annual Great Western Brick Show.

The show, which began on Saturday, October 10, occurs annually and sees Lego experts of all ages coming together to show off their builds.

The Adver went along to the this year's show to take a look at some of the incredible builds and the people behind them.

Some highlights include a working motorised Lego train, a scale model of the Black Pearl pirate ship and a live Lego robot battle in the style of TV show Robot Wars.

Also on show this year was a gold-sorting machine, which cleverly uses computers and motorised Lego to sort gold bricks from grey ones.

The machine was built by expert builder Alexis Threlfall, and was intended to encourage children to get into STEM in a fun and interactive way.

Another impressive attraction was a 108ft automated machine which moves small balls through a series of contraptions, built as a collaborative project by people from across the UK.

The event will last from Saturday October 10 to Sunday October 11.
