WILTSHIRE’S Jamie Cullum has secretly married Sophie Dahl.

The couple celebrated their wedding at a luxurious country hotel in the New Forest at the weekend after keeping the event secret from all but their closest friends and family.

Pint-sized jazz star Cullum, 30, and statuesque model-turned-author Dahl, 32, jetted off on honeymoon yesterday.

The couple enjoyed a blessing at the Lime Wood Hotel, set in the New Forest National Park, on Saturday followed by a sit-down meal in a marquee.

The wedding is thought to have had a “winter wonderland” theme, with the venue lit with hundreds of fairy lights.

Guests sat down to food prepared by a Michelin-starred chef in a Spiegeltent, a pavilion described as a "travelling dance hall", before Cullum, who was brought up in Hullavington, near Chippenham, performed in the hotel. Cullum’s spokeswoman Kas Mercer said the couple did not officially marry at the hotel as that had taken place earlier.

Dahl, the granddaughter of the late children’s author Roald Dahl, is thought to have worn a Versace dress and been walked down the aisle by her actor father Julian Holloway.
