NEW College has presented Prospect Hospice with a cheque for £1,500, thanks to the efforts of staff.

Fundraising activities included staff quiz nights, raffles and sweets in the jar competitions, along with regular trips to West End shows. Staff also reached into their Christmas funds over the festive period and some even sold their unwanted presents.

Barbara Kimber, personal assistant to principal Graham Taylor, said: "Prospect Hospice is a wonderful cause. Staff have been extremely generous throughout the year and we are proud to have been able to contribute to this very worthy charity."

The cheque was presented to Maggie Gill, Community Fundraiser at Prospect.

"It's absolutely brilliant the College has done all this over the course of a year," she said.

"Contributions like this make a huge difference and enable us to continue to provide care and support to those with life threatening illnesses."
