WILTSHIRE BUSINESS AWARDS: WOODBOROUGH GARDEN CENTRE - Deep in the heart of the Pewsey Vale lies a treasure trove. What is it that makes Woodborough Garden Centre and PYO fruit farm so special?

Is it the excellent selection of plants from home-grown perennials through to shrubs, roses and more than 200 different trees?

Is it the unique experience of picking your own daffodils straight from the field?

Is it the super home-made food in the coffee shop? Or perhaps the loyalty club for over 60s where two courses of freshly home-made food only costs £6?

Or perhaps it is a modern and well-stocked pick-your-own fruit farm where the strawberries actually taste like strawberries, available from June to September, along with other soft fruits and vegetables?

Or is it the air or tranquillity for which many of our customers come?

To find out, you'll have to come and see for yourself.

Woodborough Garden Centre can be contacted on 01672 851249.

ONLINE LEGAL SERVICES

Divorce-Online at www.divorce-online.co.uk is the award-winning service from Swindon-based Online Legal Services, a finalist in the Wiltshire Business of the Year Awards.

The service was the first online divorce service in the UK and now accounts for two per cent of all divorces filed in England and Wales and one per cent of all Scottish divorce proceedings since launching in 2000. That equates to more than 30,000 divorces and a saving to the UK consumer of over £12m in legal fees.

The service charges fixed fees, unlike solicitors, and these range from £25.99 for a DIY kit and guide to £165 for a fully-managed divorce, where the company deals with everything, from preparing the documents, to filing at court and correspondence. We have a service suitable for all budgets and levels of expertise.

M L ELECTRONICS

The close of 2005 marked the completion of a successful year for Salisbury-based M L Electronics (MLE). During this time MLE has celebrated its 10th birthday, successfully entered the medical market, received the Investors in People award and was shortlisted as a finalist in the 2005 Wiltshire Business of the Year awards.

MLE, a developer of specialist electronics systems, was founded in a small countryside barn, by Mike and Sharon Lloyd in 1995. A decade on, MLE is an established, profitable business operating out of a purpose-built complex on the outskirts of Salisbury and can count Ferrari's Formula 1 team as a client.

MLE works across a range of markets with recent notable success in the medical market. One such success is the development of Plasma Surgical's PlasmaJet TM an innovative coagulation device; which can reduce patient risk during surgery and shorten hospital stays.

In the past 18 months MLE has seen its staff grow by 40 per cent.

Receiving the Investors in People award recognises the company's commitment to providing a unique working environment for its staff.

Key to the MLE vision has always been the desire to create an environment that empowers its staff. Managing director Mike Lloyd said: "Our staff are at the heart of what we do and their growth is linked directly to the growth of the business."
