TWO more talks are being held this month as part of the General University Lecture Programme at the University in Bath in Swindon.

On Wednesday, Sarah Finch-Crisp will present The Lydiard Park project an illustrated talk showing the exciting developments and dramatic results to date.

Sarah joined Swindon Museum Service in 1984 as education officer with special responsibility for Lydiard House and was appointed keeper of the house in 1991, assuming the new role of property manager last year.

A week later, GULP will host a talk by Dr Elizabeth Dowler in association with Swindon Churches Together entitled Food, faith and ethics.

The presentation will focus on how our contemporary food system works and how to think ethically about food and what it is really worth.

Dr Dowler is a reader in food and social policy at Warwick University and is a member of the Food Ethics Council and associate member of the Iona Community.

Both lectures will be held in the main hall of the Oakfield Campus in Marlowe Avenue, Walcot, between 5.30pm and 6.30pm. Admission and parking is free.
