THE Brunel Centre might lose one of its most talked about shops.

Memorabilia store Infinitely Better has gone into administration.

But the shopping centre's director, Nick Beaumont-Jones, is hoping that this isn't the end of the road for the store.

Bristol based administrator Begbies Traynor has been called in to help the ailing business.

Since then a notice on the front door tells customers the shop will be shut until further notice.

"The business is in the hands of the administrators," said Mr Beaumont-Jones.

"At this stage we do not know what is going to happen.

"We are in contact with the director of the shop.

"The administrators will be looking at all the options to find out if the shop can be re-financed or not.

"In the meantime any business that has gone into administration is protected from the creditors by law."

He added: "We are hopeful they can open up as before.

"The shop is popular and they bring a lot of celebrities into the town.

"It would be very sad to see the shop close down."

Infinitely Better has established itself among memorabilia-loving film, television, sport and music fans everywhere.

Specialising in unique items, the shop stocks a range of original signed pieces and authentic movie props.

Last year, Steve Goss, who owns the shop, said that he believed buying autographs was a much better investment than ploughing hard earned cash into stocks and shares. Over the last four years the store has played host to a vast array of Hollywood stars and celebrity guests, who have come to meet fans and sign autographs, photographs, books and other items.

James Bond stars and the entire cast of nineties hit show Red Dwarf are just some of the stars who have visited the shop.

In March fans waited for hours to catch a glimpse of Craig Charles and other Re Dwarf cast members.

And visits from James Bond cast members has been one of the biggest hits at the store.

Less than a month ago bond girls Maud Adams, Tania Mallet, and Britt Ekland, as well as bad guy John Wyman, who played Erich Kriegler in For Your Eyes Only, signed books for excited fans.
