Thamesdown Transport has announced that as a mark of respect its buses will stop for two minutes on Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday.

At 11am tomorrow and Sunday, buses due to depart between 11am and 11.02am will wait until 11.02am. Buses already enroute will wait at the nearest bus stop, providing it is safe to do so, to mark the two-minute silence.

Paul Jenkins, managing director of Thamesdown Transport said: “As a mark of respect to those who have lost their lives in past and current conflicts across the globe, we are asking passengers to join us in marking two minutes’ silence on both Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday.

“Where safe to do so, our drivers will be stopping for two minutes. We hope passengers join us in this time of remembrance and reflection.”
