Explorer to light up town
SWINDON-BORN explorer David Hempleman-Adams will be back in the area again this week when he returns to switch on the Christmas lights in Wootton Bassett.
David, who now lives in Box, was in Swindon last Thursday to flick the switch at the Old Town Christmas lights.
This Friday in Wootton Bassett he will be joined by the two winners of a colouring competition held by the town council.
The event will also see reindeer and Santa return to the High St, as well as street entertainers, a hog roast, stilt walkers and a circus workshop.
