THE FAMILY of missing Sian O’Callaghan issued a tearful plea to the public last night for help in bringing her home safely.

The 22-year-old was last seen leaving popular nightspot Suju, in Old Town, alone at around 2.50am on Saturday after a night out with friends.

Boyfriend Kevin Reape fought back tears as he told a press conference at Swindon Gablecross Police Station: “We all just want to know that she’s OK as it’s breaking our hearts not to know where she is.

“She’s has been missing for over two days and it’s not like her not to come home or contact any of us for such a long time.

“Someone out there must know where she is.”

Since she was reported missing by Kevin at 9.45am on Saturday, police have been searching a woodland area in the Lawns and a section of Savernake Forest, near Marlborough, where her phone signal was last pinpointed at little more than half an hour after she left the club.

Kevin, 26, said: “We all want to know where Sian is and we want her home safe and well.

“Sian is a bubbly, lively person and is instantly liked by everyone she meets.

“She is very close to her family and has lots of friends. We’d like to thank all of the people who have shown us support and helped search for Sian. Their kind words and gestures have been a great help to us.

“Someone out there must have seen or known where she is and we just want them to come forward and contact the police.

“If Sian is listening and doesn’t want to contact us, I beg her to at least ring the police.”

Sian, a distributor support co-ordinator for Constructor Group UK, based in Dorcan, moved with Kevin, a quantity surveyor, to a house in Westmorland Road in the town centre, in January.

Sian’s brother, Liam, 24, said: “Sian means the world to us and we just want her come home.

“If anyone has any information please help the police and come forward.”

There were emotional scenes at the press conference, at which Sian’s parents, Mick, 51, and Elaine, 48, younger sister Lora, 19, were also present.

The officer leading the investigation, Det Supt Steve Fulcher, revealed her last contact with Kevin was about an hour-and-a-half before her disappearance.

He said: “On the night, she had a meal with friends and visited two other nightclubs.

“We know she left Suju at 2.50am on Saturday – her movements beyond that point are a concern because neither her friends or her family have been able to make contact.

“We then know that at 3.24am later that Saturday morning – 32 minutes later – Sian’s phone is in the area of Savernake Forest.

“She sent him a text at around 1.15am saying ‘where are you?’. They were in constant contact.

“He had been to Cheltenham races with friends and returned home to Swindon at around 10.30pm on Friday. He went to bed relatively early.

“At 3.24am he then sent a text to her saying ‘I’m worried’.

“She had had quite a bit to drink. She left on foot and she only lives half a mile away anyway so she would not have driven.

“Clearly, I need people who saw vehicles moving about in terms of any one party who can explain how Sian, and in particular her phone, moved from Swindon to Savernake in that time.

“What I am keen to do is find witnesses who can give me any indication of people moving about, or of vehicles moving about, in the Old Town area of Swindon from the time she left Suju nightclub at 2.52am.

“I’m also appealing for witnesses to come forward who either saw vehicles or people in the Savernake Forest area between 3.15am and 4am on Saturday.”

Sian is white, 5ft 3in tall, of medium build, with brown hair cut in an asymmetric style and green eyes.

She was wearing a grey dress, black bolero-style jacket, dark tights and flat boots when she was last seen, and was carrying a dark handbag with a beige flower attached.
