ONE of the town’s most popular nightclubs has found itself at the centre of the investigation to find Sian.

Suju, based on the High Street in Old Town, was the last place that Sian O’Callaghan was seen as she left alone in the early hours of Saturday.

The club’s CCTV camera caught her leaving the venue shortly after 2.50am – this was the last time she was seen.

When approached by the Adver yesterday, manager Shaun Montague said he had no comment to make at this time.

He added that the club may release a statement in the future, but did not know when.

Asked if Suju would open at all this week, he said: “I can’t comment on that either.”

During the course of the investigation into Sian’s disappearance it has also emerged that she was the victim of an assault in the toilets of the same nightclub in October 2008, when another woman punched her.

Suju is one of busiest nightspots in the town – regularly attracting hundreds of partygoers on Friday and Saturday nights as well as the special club nights they host throughout the week.

Last year, the nightclub was entered into the Adver’s Best Bar None competition for being so popular.
