POLICE have been continuing their investigations into the murder of Sian O’Callaghan by digging up the front garden in Nythe of murder suspect Christopher Halliwell.
Officers used radar detecting equipment to search for objects beneath the surface of Halliwell’s home at 12 Ashbury Avenue, where they dug up the lawn and flower beds.
They also carried out a search at Halliwell’s former home six doors away at number 24, where he lived with his first wife 10 years ago.
Police have been investigating the deaths of 22-year-old Sian, and Becky Godden-Edwards, whose remains were found at Eastleach in Gloucestershire. They believe there may be more bodies.
Last Tuesday, the High Street in Swindon’s Old Town was briefly closed by Crime Scene Investigation officers who took photographs of the Suju nightclub, which was the last place Sian was seen before her disappearance last month.
