Astma Relief charity will get its funds boosted from the production of the enchanting tale of King Arthur and his kingdom of Camelot.

R and J Musicals led by Ray Dance and Judith Sharp will be performing the musical, featuring such songs as If Ever I Would Leave You, How To Handle A Woman and the title song Camelot, at the Arts Centre in Devizes Road, Old Town, Swindon from Tuesday June 14 to Saturday June 18 at 7.30pm.

Last year Help For Heroes charity received £3,000 from the Swindon theatre company’s performance of Kiss Me Kate.

Judith said: “We were delighted that profits from our 25th anniversary concert celebration in January and our production of Kiss Me Kate enabled us to donate the £3,000 to Help For Heroes.’’ Camelot is the story of King Arthur, his wife Guinevere and her attachment to Lancelot which threatens to destroy Arthur and his dream of a round table of knights who use might for right.

The musical was written by Frederick Loewe and Alan J Lerner.

Ashtma Relief was set up in 1997 to supply the people of Swindon, who have breathing difficulties, with nebulisers via hospitals, doctors’ surgeries and community nurses.

Tickets to see Camelot are £10.50 and £9.50 for concessions, and they are available on 01793 485025, 01672 861654 or 01793 692196.
