On Tuesday 31st January the children from Peatmoor Primary School , went on a litter pick, in their local area, near the copse.

The Mayor of Swindon responded to their letters and joined the children on the litter pick. Also the recycling advisors helped by providing reflective jackets, gloves, bags and litter pickers.

The class teacher, Mr Watermayer, wanted the children to keep the environment tidy, so the habitats and wildlife would be preserved.

The class teacher commented; ”Children are aware of their environment. They need to keep the area free from harm.

After the litter pick a man called Ali Memet, who worked in the fish and chip shop, we had a portion of chips, for working so hard while doing their litter pick.
