BRISTOL Airport will be spreading the word about new flights and improved facilities to the people of Swindon tomorrow when its travel roadshow comes to town.

The airport team will be at Swindon railway station from 7.30am to 9:30am highlighting how travellers can access Bristol Airport in just an hour and a quarter using the rail/bus link – quicker than the journey time to Heathrow.

Bristol Airport’s market share in Wiltshire is estimated to have increased to approximately 25 per cent since 2003, equivalent to more than 386,000 passengers.

Heathrow remains the most used airport for residents of the county, but its market share has fallen over the last decade.

Shaun Browne, the aviation director at Bristol Airport, said: “Bristol is becoming a more attractive option to people in Swindon because of the number of destinations on offer, particularly with airlines such as easyJet and Ryanair.

“We see this trend increasing as we continue to develop our facilities, and this roadshow is about spreading the word in Wiltshire so morepeople can take advantage of what we have to offer.”
