JOHN Lewis stores in Swindon have been part of a rebranding to highlight the nationwide the store is owned by its employees.

The stores, at the Outlet Centre and Mannington Roundabout, were among the first to make the change meaning newly designed bags and in-store displays will now say John Lewis & Partners.

The change has been designed to highlight the nationwide department store’s partnership business model and culture.

Kate Connock, head of branch at John Lewis & Partners Swindon said: “Our Partnership business model and the inherent strength of our partners really sets us apart. That’s why the change to our visual identity this week puts Partners back at the heart of everything we do.

“This move not only reflects the business we have become but more importantly, the business we want to be.”

The rebrand will also include Waitrose stores, owned by John Lewis, and will be rolled out across the other 50 John Lewis stores over the next five years.

The John Lewis Partnership said in June that it would continue to invest in both businesses at a rate of £400m-£500m per year.
