A FREE briefing will help businesses understand apprenticeships in a more digital workplace in Swindon this week.

Organised by the Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership and Swindon Borough Council the event at The Workshed on Thursday will bring together expert speakers from the business.

The networking event will give businesses a chance to ask questions about hiring apprentices and the benefits they can bring.

Speakers include Paul O’Hagan, regional sales director for apprenticeships for QA, one of the UK’s largest skills providers in the digital and business training space.

Chris Parsons, from organisers Higher Futures, skills brokerage officer, which offers free and impartial advice and guidance around the local skills landscape to employers, Annette Allmark, head of apprenticeships, at BCS, and Shelley Cook, Swindon Borough Council, skills and employment manager.

The networking event, which also includes lunch, is taking place at The Workshed, starting from 11am until 1pm on November 8.
