Co-op is launching a new roast dinner offer that feeds a family of four for a fiver this Easter.
The supermarket is pitching its £1.25 a head meal with a whole roast chicken, crispy potatoes and golden Yorkshire puddings.
This follows the news last week that Aldi is offering six must-have vegetables at 15p in an Easter special - with British White Potatoes, carrots, parsnips, onions, swede, and even XL garlic all a fraction of their usual prices.
That’s less than the cost of a single meal deal in some supermarkets and a fraction of what a roast would set you back in most pubs right now.
The bundle includes:
- Co-op 100% British Medium Whole Bird (1.7kg) or Co-op Scottish Medium Whole Bird (1.7kg)
- Co-op 100% British Baby Potatoes (750g)
- Co-op British Carrots (500g)
- Aunt Bessie’s 10 Yorkshire Puddings (190g)
It’s recognisable, traditional, and - perhaps most surprisingly at this price - the meat is British.

How to get the Co-op roast for a fiver deal
The offer is available exclusively via shop.coop.co.uk, and the bundle is available using the code ROASTDEAL in the box at the checkout, from March 25 – April 14 inclusive.
Prices may vary in-store and if bought via delivery partners.
