SHRIVENHAM C of E School has three very special values – happiness, respect and honesty.

Headteacher Vicky Sammon said children at the school are always encouraged to love their education.

“We are proud of our happy, caring and supportive environment,” she said.

“We encourage children to develop a love of learning, whilst exploring moral and spiritual values.

“As a school we aim to provide a stimulating thematic curriculum, ensuring lots of hands on opportunities for the pupils.”

The school holds a number of awards, including Healthy Schools Oxfordshire, Sports Partnership mark, Active Schools mark, International Schools award and Eco silver sward.

Mrs Sammon said: “We actively encourage the involvement of parents and our local community within the school.

Shrivenham is a thriving school, working hard as a team for success.”

The school also has close links with the church, with local vicars and ministers holding regular assemblies.

“We have shared Christian values and a ‘value of the term’ where each class look closely at the meaning of that value and what it means to them.”

“We strive to inspire and guide our pupils enabling them to achieve their full potential and celebrate their success.

“We plan work to stimulate pupils and staff throughout topics, in which we incorporate all areas of the curriculum, core subjects and foundation subjects.

“To enhance learning, the pupils go on regular educational trips to places of interest, relevant to their current topic.”
