SWINDON Town manager Kevin MacDonald has confirmed that the club are looking to sign Tottenham defender Grant Hall on a season-long loan deal.

Hall joined in with first-team training at Liddington this morning and is expected to formally be signed on by the Robins in the coming days.

MacDonald also confirmed that Daniel Devine is on trial at the club following his release from Aston Villa.

He said: “Grant Hall is here this week, Danny Devine has come in this week and we’re hoping another couple of others will be coming in as well but we can’t say at the moment.

“We’ll be looking for a season-long loan (for Hall). I know of him, I’ve seen him a couple of times - not competitively against any of my times but he’s been recommended to the club.

“We’re having a look at him potentially with the chance of a season-long loan.

“Danny is out of contract. I know Danny from being at Aston Villa. He’s got a lot of developing to do yet and had quite a serious injury. We’ve got to have a look at him.

“I think the Grant Hall one is more looking to get a season-long loan. Danny is definitely on trial."
