SWINDON Town midfielder Yaser Kasim scored a superb solo goal to hand Iraq a 1-0 win in their Asian Cup opener against Jordan in Brisbane this morning.
Kasim weaved his way into the Jordanian penalty area on 77 minutes before his shot deflected into the net to give his country maximum points and also earned him the man of the match award.
Kasim's strike follows Massimo Luongo's man of the match performance and goal for Australia in their opening victory against Kuwait on Friday.
