SWINDON Town have appointed three non-executive directors Roger Terrell, Veljko Jovanovic and Zavier Austin.

Terrell is the best known of the three. He was previously vice-chairman of Peterborough United and was also involved for a very short period of time with the takeover of Luton Town in 2003, alongside Town chairman Lee Power. Terrell also formally acted as an agent.

Austin is listed a company director at Tes Facilities Management Limited, a business based on Keston, south London, described as being in the ‘building completion and finishing’ industry, but there is little available information about Jovanovic.

Swindon Town were asked to comment further about the appointments of the three and their new roles within the club when approached by the Swindon Advertiser today, but the club responded by saying our enquiry would be referred to ‘senior management’. However no further response was forthcoming.

Referring to the appointments on BBC Wiltshire, Power said: “There’s been three directors (appointed) this week. They’re people I know really well, (who) are close to me.

“One of them Roger Terrell is the ex-chairman of Peterborough. He’s a solicitor by trade and he’s obviously come on board to help with our legals, hopefully they’re all done and dusted, we could have done with him two years ago.

“Now things are settled down (I‘m) just trying to get a bit of structure to the club.

“Veljko and Zavier will help hopefully now we’re looking at training facilities and redevelopment, I’m going to need a bit of help. They’re going to help me like that.”
