ADVER Sport's Tom Bassam hands out his ratings from Swindon Town's 2-1 defeat to Colchester United.

Tyrell Belford

A couple of uneasy takes and several poor attempts to find his teammates with long balls made for an afternoon to forget for the recalled stopper. 5

Raphael Branco

Exposed on a regular basis by Harriott and his confidence on the ball took a dip as a result. 4

Jordan Williams

His one-on-one defending is excellent, but he gets caught under high balls too often. 6

Jordan Turnbull

The defender who won player of the season last term looks to have been replaced by a man half a yard slower who cannot pass to a teammate. 4

Henrik Ojamaa

Gets in good positions and can beat his man, but looks unwilling to drive at the byline and his crosses do not find their targets often enough. 5

Yaser Kasim

Going forward this was the Iraqi's best performance for a while, as he added purpose to his pretty play. His substitution was baffling. 7

Drissa Traore

When he plays like did in the first half it is more obvious why he was released by Notts County. Improved a tad after the break. 6

Louis Thompson

When he gets back to full fitness he will be a huge asset to this side, even at 75 per cent he offers plenty in determination and clever passing. 7

Fabien Robert

Another player surprisingly withdrawn. Worked hard at wing-back and looked bright when moved inside. 7

Nicky Ajose

Getting into better positions now, but is definitely still off the pace. Should have scored from Balmy's cross with 15 minutes to go. 5

Wes Thomas

Missed one glaring chance before taking the second. Left soon after clutching his hamstring, it would be a shame for Town to lose their only striker in a semblance of form. 7

Sub

Jermaine Hylton (on for Thomas, 27)

Thurst into the action early the striker coped okay, he is way short of confidence as was evident by his sloppy passing. 5

James Brophy (on for Kasim, 61)

Very quiet and looked nervous when getting into the U's box. 5

Jeremy Balmy (on for Robert, 75)

Almost created a goal with his first involvement, showed some nice touches. 6
